Directing

Directing

The Last Cookie

In 2025, I got the opportunity to direct a short play at my college. The plot was about 2 siblings and how they convince each other that the other one should eat the last cookie they have. As the play went on, the characters came out as thinking of themselves as bad people and why they don't deserve happiness in life. The show had 3 performances in total.

Miss Julie

In the Directing class for theatre, I wrote a play analysis of Miss Julie by August Strindberg, written in 1888. For the final, I also directed a short scene from the play to give clear direction in a limited amount of time. The class also showed me how to write a play analysis and dive into what the playwright is trying to communicate with the audience.

Sound Design

Sound Design

The Night Witches

This was my first time ever sound designing for a show. This allowed me to learn QLab and to work on sounds from moving planes to explosions.

Received an Honorable Mention award at the American College Theatre Festival.

Here are some examples of when planes were flying, gunshots were being fired at, and explosions were occurring. Music was composed by Jordan Olson.

The 2nd show I sound-designed. This show was difficult to make a scene tense in a theatrical space while ensuring everyone's safety. This also allowed me to work on jump scares and explore the psychology of some of the characters.

This is a video I made for the EXPO station at the American College Theatre Festival, where I went into more detail about how the sound was created and why what music was used.

This show explored the steampunk side of the play while blending fairy magic and machinery. This show was performed on Knight Performance Hall at UNW.

Lighting Design

Lighting design

This was the first show I ever did lighting design for. While I've used light boards before, this was the first time I programmed a show myself, with new technologies and lights.
